Check entirely filled out and signed by Marilyn Monroe, in exceptionally strong, bold ink, dated Oct 22, 1954. 
The starlet handwrites: ' Bank of America, Sunset & Laurel ' and makes the check payable to ' Mr. Michael Chekhov ' for 45 dollars.
Chekhov was Monroe’s acting coach at the time, which was a highpoint in her career having released two of her most famed films the year earlier  ' Gentlemen Prefer Blondes ' and ' How to Marry a Millionaire. '
The check has been authenticated by Becket Authentication Services.
Beautifully framed with a limited-edition photographic print
(Edition #8/15) entitled ' The Mandolin Sitting ' by photographer Milton H. Greene.
The photograph features American Actress, Model and Singer Marilyn Monroe during a trip to Los Angeles for the first Look Magazine sitting, California - September 1953.
