Getty Images, Inc. is an American Archive with an archive of 80 million still images representing the work of more than 250,000 talented and dedicated photographers. These include The Michael Ochs Archives — described by The New York Times as “the premier source of musician photography in the world,” and the Hulton library, some 15 million photographs from the British press archives dating back to the Nineteenth Century. Numerous other archives have been acquired by Getty over the years including Archive Photos of New York, WireImage, iStockphoto, and Corbis. This archival collection contains historically and socially significant imagery that documents the human experience through the 19th and 20th centuries up to the present day.
