This hard-to-find lobby card was part of the original set of 8 used to promote the movie.
Framed in black lacquer measuring approx. 20 1/4" x 17 1/8".
“ Marnie ” follows the story of Margaret “Marnie” Edgar, a complex character portrayed by Tippi Hedren, who is a habitual thief with a troubled pass.
The film opens with Marnie stealing nearly $10,000 from her employer, Sidney Strutt, and fleeing under a new identity.
She is later hired by Mark Rutland (Sean Connery) a wealthy businessman who becomes fascinated with her. When he discovers her secret, he blackmails her into marriage, believing he can help her confront her psychological issue, including her aversion to intimacy and the color red, which triggers her hysteria.
