Axl and Guns and Roses played the Felt Forum on May 9th, 1998. The band was in great form and lit the house on fire. Axl was doing his snake dance on a high wire rope while holding court. This photograph has always stood out because you can see and feel this intimate moment as he concentrates as if he was going to drop his microphone. Meanwhile all the blaring guitars, crazy fans, mayhem and GNR live circus surrounds him. This was the only black and white photo to ever run on two full pages (double truck) in Spin Magazine.
