Hand-signed photograph of Howard Hughes in the cockpit of a Northrop airplane, talking to an unidentified man.
On January 19th,1937, Hughes broke his own transcontinental speed record when he flew from Los Angeles, California to Newark, New Jersey, in 7 hours and 31 minutes at an estimated speed of 332 miles per hour.
Photos signed by Howard Hughes picturing him as a pilot are very scarce. This photographic print is signed and inscribed in fountain pen," To Billy Duane, with best wishes, Howard Hughes, '37 ". The outer white borders have been slightly trimmed, most likely to fit in an earlier frame. This does not distract from the image itself or framed presentation.
Howard Hughes' signature has been PSA DNA authenticated.
