Wernher Magnus Maximilian Freiherr von Braun (March 1912 – June 1977) was a German and American aerospace engineer and space architect. Brought over from Germany to the United States after WW II, his immense contributions as the Chief Architect of the Saturn V Rocket led to America’s historic landing on the moon.
