Summer of 1993, Al Pacino was taking a break on the set of “Carlito’s Way” deep in the South Bronx. Among the broken-down buildings, graffiti filled streets he takes time to talk with his body double. Gene's friend E-Man was one of the security guards on the set and had set me up with the opportunity to photograph Al one on one. Carlito Brignate, aka Al Pacino, was in full character with attitude and bravado. He didn’t play the part, he was the part.
Hand-done, archival B/W Fiber Print in an edition of 10 prints, hand-signed by the photographer, Gene Shaw.
